Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know we were very pleased with the prompt service and delivery of our "moose paddle".  

We are building a house and my 14 year old son wants a "lodge-looking" room -- so although we can't display the paddle yet, we loved it when we opened the box to check it.  He really liked it - which is saying quite a bit for a 14 year old!  We're hoping to move in to our new home in August.  As soon as we can start setting up his room, we'll hang the moose paddle  with the other "lodge" decorations we've accumulated. When I placed an order with you that included two matching lamps, a WoodLand Things associate immediately notified me that the lamp was being discontinued and that only one was available. She correctly assumed that I was purchasing the lamps as a pair and that I would want to be notified if I could not purchase two. She also let me know that WoodLand Things would be adding new lamps to its inventory that match other items on my order. Hi: I took the time to do this because I think your company might actually be one of the extraordinary types of businesses that combines customer service, punctuality, and fair prices. This is not easy to find. I have a house in the mountains in Yosemite. I think it is fun to decorate it in a lodge theme, especially since I live on the coast! Dear Jules, Your feedback brightened everyone's day! We've operated a daycare facility in the Adirondack Mts. for 17 years which WoodLand Things helps to support, so we are familiar with the needs of others. My husband & I and our two children, then 1 1/2 & 2 1/2 years old left Long Island to fulfill a lifelong dream of building our own log home in the WoodLands and the Adirondack Mts. I'd camped in the Adirondacks for 2 weeks each summer while growing up in the Bronx so it seemed the perfect fairytale come true place. We spent 2 years designing and drawing plans for our log cabin, then purchased logs, lumber and windows and went to work on the 25 WoodLand acres. It took over 2 years doing all the plumbing and electric work, carpentry and finishing work ourselves. It was an unbelievable adventure with 2 small children helping to pound nails and dowels. We established Lake George Daycare because we could not locate the type of facility we wanted for our boys. We wanted them to be in the woods to be able to hand feed birds and watch deer browse, to camp and backpack and enjoy the natural wilderness while learning the cognitive, social and self help skills that all preschoolers need. We couldn't find it, so we created it. Creative playground and 40' covered tricycle deck included. Now that our log home was built we wanted to decorate it with lodge and cabin decor at an affordable price. Again we could not find that situation, so we decided to create it. Customer service has always been a simple matter of treating others the way we wish to be treated. Can't go wrong with that philosophy. The products we sell are the products we use ourselves to decorate. We hope the people who, like us, love everything about nature and the wilderness will find and shop at WoodLand Things.

Karen and Keith, I first met you at the Warrensburg Garage Sale, bought a few Adirondack items and nice warm socks with Moose, Bear, etc. on them. From what I saw at the Garage Sale and what I have bought since then, all of your merchandise is very well made. Dear Elaine,  Because you and a small number of repeat customers took the time to give us similar feedback back in June & July concerning shipping rates, WoodLand Things implemented new shipping rates. Rather than charging the customers the UPS and Postal Actual Weight Rates, we charge a basic rate if you purchase up to a certain amount of money. (click at the top of any page to view Shipping Rates). When the rate of shipping comes to more than you are required to pay, WoodLand Things absorbs the difference. We hope in the long run it will work out for us. Its more important to create a clientele that is totally satisfied so they keep coming back and tell their friends and family about us. Customer input helps us create policy, that's another reason we think it is so important.
